Bringing inspirational leadership, creativity and a passion for the vision and mission of KidsOut, you will have a real interest in our clients and a desire to make their lives better.
With strong governance experience, either as a main-board executive and/or non-executive director, and prior chairing experience, whether in the commercial, public, or not-for-profit sectors, you will be able to foster a really collaborative team environment, nurture effective relationships, and have the ability to inspire and bring people together.
- A genuine interest in helping disadvantaged children and the purpose of KidsOut.
- An inclusive and collaborative approach to chairing the Board.
- General leadership skills including negotiation, challenge and change management.
- An understanding of the role and resourcing of housing associations and/or charities and of the role of boards and their responsibilities and operation.
- A sound understanding of the principles of financial management; effective governance and controls, ideally in a regulated environment and scrutiny.
- Strong networking capabilities, and being comfortable in an ambassadorial role.
- A commitment to ensuring equity, diversity and inclusion in service provision and employment.
- Successful track record of achievement as a senior executive or non-executive.
- Appreciation and understanding of mission-driven and values-led organisations, and the leadership challenges and opportunities.
